Indications
- Acute & chronic bronchitis
- Bronchial asthma with mucus buildup
- COPD, bronchiectasis, sinusitis
- Any cough with thick, hard-to-expel phlegm
Dosage & Administration
- Adults / ≥12 years: 1 tablet 3× daily for first 2–3 days, then 1 tablet 2× daily
- 6–11 years: ½ tablet 2–3× daily (syrup preferred for accuracy)
- Rule: Swallow whole, take after meals, drink plenty of water
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to ambroxol, bromhexine, or tablet ingredients
- Active peptic ulcer disease
Precautions
- May increase antibiotic levels in lung tissue (safe, often combined)
- Do not use with strong cough suppressants (risk of trapped mucus)
- Caution in kidney/liver impairment; asthma patients
- Not for <6 years old in tablet form
