Description

Indications
- Acute & chronic bronchitis
- Bronchial asthma with mucus buildup
- COPD, bronchiectasis, sinusitis
- Any cough with thick, hard-to-cough phlegm
Dosage & Administration
Use the measuring cup/spoon provided
- Adults & ≥12 yrs: 10 mL (2 tsp) 2–3× daily; after 2–3 days, may lower to 2× daily
- 7–12 yrs: 5 mL (1 tsp) 2–3× daily
- 3–6 yrs: 2.5 mL (½ tsp) 3× daily
- 1–2 yrs: 2.5 mL (½ tsp) 2× daily
- <1 yr: Only on doctor’s advice
- Rule: Take after meals, drink plenty of water
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to ambroxol, bromhexine, or any ingredient
- Active peptic ulcer disease
Precautions
- Do not combine with cough suppressants (risk of trapped mucus)
- May slightly raise antibiotic levels in lungs (safe, often prescribed together)
- Use carefully in kidney/liver impairment, pregnancy/lactation, severe asthma
- Stop if rash, blisters, or swelling appear
Side Effects
Common: Mild nausea, stomach discomfort, dry mouth, altered taste, headache
Rare: Diarrhea, rash, itching
Serious: Severe skin reaction, difficulty breathing → stop & seek help
